It can be difficult to number pioneer graves; it appears that this cemetery had natural area rocks to support wood planks for headstones. Number 17 still has the plank but time and weather have made it indecipherable. Number 9 is approx. three spaces to the right of T.C. Way, there did not appear to be evidence of unmarked graves to count the spaces.
* Emma Preston's is an upright cement headstone with metal letters nailed on supported by a rock and framed in wood.
** CIARA's (daughter of Missouri Ann Owens?) had a worn wood plank; cement slab w/the lettering placed by hand, 4 sturdy posts w/pickets (square nails).
*** 19 & 21 sit back slightly behind rows 5&6 but not enough to look like a row on it's own.
**** The Ward's have one headstone marking two graves? Enclosed in a cement bordered family size plot.
Others are more elaborate upright marble headstones
